Jeram Toi temporarily closed because of the taint Diabetic Rats



Jelebu: picnic and recreational area in Ulu Klawang Jeram Toi near here temporarily closed starting today for suspected contaminated by rat urine.

Director of the Department of Health Department Negeri Sembilan, Datuk Dr Zailan Adnan, said the move was taken after his track there are four confirmed victims of the disease after receiving treatment at the Hospital Tuanku Jaafar Seremban (HTJS).

"Obviously we can not confirm where they got the infection, but based on the information obtained from the victim, they visited some of the locations are Jeram Toi waterfall.
"So we believe that the victim may get an infection after returning from the recreation center, and I have ordered the inspection was to identify the quality of the waterfall there," he said here today.




He said all the victims, aged between 15 and 18 years are now being treated in hospital and is in stable.
He said the three of them is a family who have symptoms of infection after a few days of returning from a picnic in the area.

"Infection can occur in various ways, and therefore I hope that everyone can make a fantastic clean by not littering.

"But people do not panic and if there are symptoms, they need to come immediately to the hospital for treatment," he said.

Jeram Toi popular among visitors is located in a forest reserve area and under the care of Negeri Sembilan Forestry Department.

Meanwhile, Negeri Sembilan Forestry Department director Datuk Ahmad Fadzil Abdul Majid, said the closure was dependent on the condition that after the area is free from contaminated by rat urine.
"So far we are not sure whether the area is contaminated with rat urine or not and depending on the test used the Department of Health.

"But for the safety of visitors, we take steps to temporarily close the area temporarily. We will reopen when the situation permits," he said.

He said he would convene a collaborative tomorrow to clean up the area.
Jeram Toi attraction is the seven-storey waterfall, flowing from the summit of Mount Palm Bad.
The area is surrounded by forests and suitable for leisure with family

Cohabiting women were born five children



Melaka: Melaka Islamic Religious Department (JAIM) yesterday arrested a 31-year-old woman in the Big Island here on suspicion of cohabitation with a man until the birth of five children.
Enforcement Chief JAIM Rahimin Bani said the woman was arrested while sleeping with all his children, aged between one and 11 years in a tent on the beach of the island at about 10am.
He said JAIM believe the 37-year-old man who was her partner in the island but fled during the inspection.

"Our investigation revealed that the woman did not have a marriage certificate and all the children did not have birth certificates and they previously lived in Masjid Tanah (Alor Gajah) before moving to the island about two months ago," he told reporters here today.

Rahimin says women who hails from Jengka, Pahang was claimed to have been married in Thailand in 2002.
He said the woman also claimed that four children were born in Malacca, while her youngest son was born in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan and the case was being investigated under Section 53 of the Malacca Syariah Offences Enactment 1991 for bersedudukan.

Meanwhile Rahimin said JAIM conduct inspections to curb superstitious nature conducted in the cemetery on the island.

"We ask the public to provide information on relevant activities for further action," he said.

Two students were injured UPSR dibahan storm ripped the roof of the school

Mother willing to chain her son to avoid running

Causes Bomb blast in Bukit Bintang, one confirmed dead



Police revealed brawl involving gangsters believed to be the source of a bomb blast at Sun Complex in Jalan Bukit Bintang early morning.
