Court summons cancel Azrinaz Mazhar Hakim


Kuala Lumpur: The High Court here today quashed the summons former TV3 news presenter Azrinaz Mazhar Hakim Mazhar against restaurant owners who rent lots of his shop after the tenant vacates the premises.
 
Judge Datuk John Louis O'hara made ​​the order in chambers attended Azrinaz counsel, Mohd Firuz Jaffril while C. Paul Aisu attorney representing the defendant, Syed Abdul Sithik Abuthahir.
 
Mohd Firuz told media the judge to cancel the originating summons filed Azrinaz, a telecommunications entrepreneur against Syed Abuthahir after the court informed the defendant to vacate the premises on August 20 .  
 
, he said, the court ordered the defendants to pay the costs 2,000 to the plaintiff.


On July 21, Azrinaz, 35, filed an originating summons for an order to evict restaurant owners RBJ Curry House, Syed Abuthahir, 37, and return the rented premises to him the past two years.

Azrinaz, the owner of a shop lot located at No. 8, Block 4, Jalan Jalil Jaya, Jalil Link, Bukit Jalil, filed the application after claiming Syed Abuthahir violate hire purchase agreement signed on July 11, 2012.
 
During the supporting affidavit filed along with the originating summons, the father Azrinaz, Hakim Mazhar Mohd Johar , 66, claimed that the defendants failed to pay off the rent of RM6,500 every month on time as stipulated by the agreement.
 
Mazhar Hakim, who manages the rental of the premises on behalf of his son, also alleged that the defendants failed to pay electricity and water bills.
 
, he also claimed a Notice of Termination of Agreement has been sent to Syed Abuthahir on March 14 last year to ask him to vacate the premises, the defendant still refused to exit the premises.
