Artist Mustapha Maarof died


Datuk Mustapha Maarof artist died at the Armed Forces Hospital Tuanku Mizan, Wangsa Maju, near here, around 8.30 am, Monday.

News of the death and certified to  mStar Online  by the President of the Malaysian Association of Employees (Employees) Datuk Freddie Fernandez.

He will be buried in a Muslim cemetery, Jalan Ampang, near here, near the grave of his wife, actress Roseyatimah.

Mustapha, 79, admitted to the Institute of Respiratory Medicine, Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) on 25 November after suffering breathing difficulties due to lung complications.


He was later transferred to the Army Hospital Tuanku Mizan on 2 December last to get follow-up treatment.
During the late state admitted to the hospital is critical and depends entirely on the ventilator.

Among the other films he is acting  Sultan Mahmud Depart At Hornbill, orphan Mustapha, Seri Mersing  and  Naga Tasik Chini.

In 2010, he announced the recipients Film Award given by the National Film Development Corporation (Finas).

He was also elected as president of the Artists Association of Malaysia (Artist).
