Remand period gangster ball jointed



Shah Alam: The period of remand nine men suspected of being involved in the chaos when the first semi-final match between Malaysia AFF Suzuki Cup with Vietnam at Stadium Shah Alam, December 7 last extended from two to three days.

Magistrate's Court here allowed an application to connect police against five suspects remanded in custody for three days while four suspects remanded again two days, each up to 17 and 18 December.

Remand order was issued by Magistrate Norshakinah Ahmad Jamaluddin and they were detained for investigation under Section 147 of the Penal Code for rioting.


The suspects, aged between 19 and 29 years arrived at the Magistrate's Court here at about 11am before leaving a few hours later.

The suspects were previously remanded since December 12 last.

On Tuesday, police deploy 15 individual images that are required to come forward to give evidence to help trace the suspects were supporters of the team fouled or hit Vietnam on Sunday.

Consequently, five individuals have come forward to the police station with four of doing so in the Klang Valley and another in Johor, followed by two more people in the past week.
