People in KL can get free hairy crabs



Fans of hairy crabs of various races and religions can now enjoy the seafood was free, after pemborongnya, IWC Aquastic decided to extend the offer.

Previously, seasonal crab was only given free to Malaysians of Chinese descent alone, sparked controversy among the different communities in the country.

IWC manager, Lim Tiong Yuan said, the offer will be given again at NSK Trade City, Mid and people need to produce MyKad, to enable them to enjoy a crab per person.

He said the move was aimed at enabling the verification is done and to avoid confusion, as there may be between those who have the same name.
"Giving it will last until December 26th from 2 pm to 5 pm," he said.

The company has been severely criticized last October and labeled as racist, when only provide free hairy crabs to Chinese only.

While everyone is entitled to enjoy a crab, they also need to show identification card for authentication, to prove they really are Chinese.

A staff then told that the granting of crabs applicable only to the Chinese, as is the hairy crab-eating culture of that society.

Empowerment is also in conjunction with the autumn in China, where the hairy crab has matured and become delicacies for the Chinese community.
