Body heat Amirah sister of his mouth foaming caused by rat urine


Alor Setar : A young woman died eight-year-old suspected of being infected by the virus rat urine or 'leptospirosis' after a picnic with his family in the Age of Swing recreation center, Yan here, 20 November.

The victim, Amirah Pruksarak Zir Omar Khan, student Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Bukit Pinang here, died in HSB (HSB) at 11:27 pm on Sunday after three days admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital.

It is understood that the victim went with my parents and two younger brothers aged two and five years in the recreation center.



Datuk season, Mohamad Desa, 66, said he was aggrieved party HSB can not detect early disease grandchildren even get treatment there since last Tuesday.

"My son, Zir Omar Khan, who had Amirah HSB Pruksarak to get treatment for fever last Tuesday. What was disappointing, the HSB asked us to return after giving medication for fever only assume grandchildren.

"The next day, we took Amirah Pruksarak to hospital specialists and one day, we were told he infected rat urine," he said when met at his house Taman Pinang Merah, Bukit Pinang, here yesterday.

According to Mohamad, on Wednesday night, they refer back to the HSB Amirah Pruksarak after the child's condition had worsened in which the body gets hotter than foaming mouth.

"Cucu admitted to the ICU HSB three days before the confirmed dead last night (Saturday) at 11:27 at night, "he said.

According to Mohamad, the second brother Pruksarak Amirah, Nur Syazana also tested positive for the virus rat urine after getting treatment at a specialist hospital.

"He was detained in HSB for further treatment. The youngest grandchild, Zaharah, fever and taken to HSB.

"I wonder if both my grandchildren are not treated early, they may receive the same fate as Amirah Pruksarak," he said.

Meanwhile, State Health Director Datuk Dr Norman Hizan Ismail confirm the possibility of future virus infected rat urine.

He said, examination and initial laboratory tests showed the possibility of HSB virus incident was caused by rat urine.

"HSB in action sent blood samples for testing in the laboratory confirmation of leptospirosis infection Institute of Medical Research (IMR) in Kuala Lumpur.

" Despite intensive treatment given, Amirah Pruksarak showed no satisfactory response was pronounced dead at 11:27 last night (Wednesday), "he said.

Funeral Amirah Pruksarak buried in the Muslim cemetery in Bukit Pinang Masjid here, yesterday morning.
