Mother excited to face the child's face for the last time



Kota Bharu: "Gratitude can see and kiss his face for the last time," said the mother of the late Corporal Azman Che Soh, who died when Peacekeeping Force in carrying out the mission of the United Nations (UNIFIL) in Lebanon on Saturday.

Hazimah Fong, 60, said he had received a blow over everything that happened to her son and regard it as a divine decree.

"He (Azman) is a good person and often contact other siblings to say hello.

"I accept and thankfully everything went smoothly and safely buried spirit," he told reporters when met at his home in Kampung Pelunggul, Melor here, tonight.

Earlier, his father's remains brought back from Lebanon with Charlie C-130 aircraft and arriving at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) before being taken to the RMAF base in Subang, and then flown to Sultan Ismail Petra Airport here.

Disembahyangkan funeral at the family home here, before being buried in the Muslim cemetery in Kampung Tegayung, Melor, around 9pm.

Also present were honored Second Division Commander, Major General Datuk Mohd Shukuri Ahmad; Assistant Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Major General Datuk Kamarulzaman Mohd Othman; Eighth Infantry Brigade Commander, Brigadier-General Datuk Azmy Yahya; and senior officials of the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM).

Azman, 34, a member of the Malaysian Battalion 850-2 (MALBATT 850-2), died at around 10:45 am (local time) on Saturday in Naqoura Hospital.

He was reportedly unconscious suddenly while on duty at Camp UNP 2-1, Camp Het, Lebanon and receive treatment early in Level 1 MALBATT Hospital before being referred to the Hospital Naqoura, after still unconscious.

Who has worked in the late 11th Special Forces Regiment at Camp NCB leave wife, Fatimah Senik, 32, and three children aged between 3 and 7 years.
