Kajang: A man died after being hit by a car trying to snatch a woman's handbag in Batu 10, Cheras-Kajang Highway towards Kuala Lumpur this morning.
In the event 8am, the husband and wife riding a motorcycle on the way to work.
According to sources, the victim was later approached by the suspect who was riding a Yamaha 125z tried snatching her handbag before going on the pull.
"As a result, the motorcycle carrying the victim and the suspect collided before they fell.
"The suspect, who fell in the middle of the highway was then hit by a car driven by a woman from behind," he said.
Sources said, the couple concerned, however, survived and suffered only minor injuries on hands and knees before being sent to the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre (PPUKM) for further treatment.
"While the suspects who died were taken to Serdang Hospital for post-mortem," he said.
Meanwhile, Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Ab Rashid Ab Wahab, when contacted, confirmed the incident.
