DAMANSARA: Veteran film director, Datuk Jamil Sulong, 88, breathed his last while ago after a coma caused by a stroke last month.
This was confirmed deceased's close family, Den Wahab.
Den, when contacted, said he was informed that the deceased are taken out of the hospital where he was treated, this afternoon.
"I know the hospital is not able to do anything more to save her. I wish condolences to his loved ones," he said.
He was a lot of works in the golden era of Malay film, producing such films as Stone Side Stone Bertangkup Si and unkempt.
Who is also the husband of the late actress Datuk Rosnani Jamil, from Parit Sulong, Batu Pahat, Johor.
Late leaving four children Murniaty Jamil, Arjunaidi Jamil, Dr Anwardi Jamil and Asnadi Jamil.
