Cause ATM hacked, Malware Virus in use right log-in Internet Banking



Kuala Lumpur: Syndicate hacking Automated Teller Machine (ATM) detected recently found using a virus known as 'ulssm.exe ..' to withdraw money.

Modus Operandi:
1 Computers victims were infected by malware / keylogger (Zeus Trojan) sent by the suspect through email and social media.
2.-Malware works when victims sign-in to Internet Banking actual site.
3 Upon successful log-in at the main display Internet Banking, then the malware will display false link which directs the victim to enter a phone number and the information required to choose the Operating System used in mobile phones.
4 Victims will receive a link url link via sms (international phone number) and asked to click on the link.
5 When the victim clicks the link will come out a certificate purportedly issued by the bank along with the code.
6 Then the victim is required to enter the code number in the fake internet banking sites for verification purposes by the suspect that the victim has entered the real phone number. This process takes less than one minute.
7 The process of downloading from the url link, has created a new program on the victim's smartphone-related icons.
8 Without the victim realizing it, this program serves as a send SMS Stealer TAC number to the suspect.
9 Once the download process is completed, the actual page views related bank will be displayed in the victim's computer.

Police advice
1 Make sure your anti-virus and anti-malware software is constantly updated.
2 Be careful when upload any file and new program and make sure the source is reliable.
3 Do not simply give a bank account number to a person or persons unknown, especially involving a banking transaction.
4 Be careful and do not open spam email messages containing attachments or click on links from suspicious sources.
5 Avoid using open internet service to make financial transactions.
6 Always use the official website when making any transaction.


According to him, the information obtained from bank engineers find of 40 pieces of money can be withdrawn in one transaction using this method.
