Tioman: An eight month old baby girl hurt after being bitten by a lizard in his home in staff quarters Berjaya Resort, here, at about 10 am yesterday.
The incident was discovered her mother's 20s before taking the victim to the Village Clinic Achtung but referred to Mersing Hospital for further treatment.
Rompin district police chief Deputy Supt Johari Jahaya said the victim's father lodged a police report over the incident last night at the police beat Achtung Village.
Johari said he would conduct an investigation, including asking the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (DWNP) conduct inspections at the residence of the victim.
He said the case was first reported in island lizards involving humans.
