Pas submits alternative tax compensation GST

ROMPIN - Campaign resist the implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) on CRP fit Rompin used as an ingredient in wooing non-campaign 'empty' because PR has another alternative to this tax.

When the vice president, Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said, involves two types of alternative tax policies contained in the PR budget tabled last year and it was better than the GST.

"I submit these alternatives because there is a leader, who asked that the PR state other alternatives if it refuses GST and I emphasize here that the PR has a tax is a better alternative than the GST.

"Two of these taxes is the tax capital gains on equity (CGT) which serve as an alternative to the GST and the Heritage Property Tax for the transfer of assets among the wealthy. They are not like the GST tax on the average, "he said.

According to him, the CGT tax system focusing on fair wages and incomes of the capital gain is taxed as a real estate developer in addition to maintaining the subsidies to the people.

He said the CGT was also adopted in 127 countries over GST implemented approximately 100 countries and in terms of revenue is expected to be higher at about RM3 billion from GST, RM2.3 billion.

He is also the Pahang PAS commissioner also blasted a leader who said that the GST was not a burden to the village as reported by some media.
