CONCERT Orchestra 50 years Nirwana - A Rahman Hassan, held on 6 and 7 June at the Theatre Sari, Istana Budaya, here for the first time will feature his wife, actress Fadi Mansor as a singer.
Fadi said that for the first time at the age of 54, she will sing at the prestigious stage.
"My sister Faridah Mansor in the 1970s as a singer, but people do not recognize it, but I also sing interest no chance at that time," he told Bernama.
He said this when he sings actively undergoing intensive training with her husband, Datuk A. Rahman Hassan, with guitar accompaniment.
"I will sing several songs including a cover of the original song Dream Shurga late Azizah Mohamad, the song is upbeat, dance-a little bit that may be," he said.
Azizah Mohamad A. Rahman is the first wife who died of cervical cancer last year.
Meanwhile, A. Rahman said the singing talent is owned by his wife and his talent was noticed since before they married.
Commenting on the concert, he said fans of the rhythm of pop yeh yeh famous in the 1960s would be treated to the strains of evergreen songs like 'why not', 'Shurga Dream', 'Good Luck', 'Happy' Will 'and 'Just for you'.
This concert will feature three new faces of Ilmi Rahman, who is also the son of A. Rahman as a singer and tambourine player, drummer Azim Talha as well as Fadi to fill the late Azizah.
Nirvana band also comprises E. Elias and B. Badrun as original members.
Invites artists invited are Datuk Jeffrey Din, The Cliffters (Rolling Stone of Singapore), Vernon Cornelius (lead singer, The Quest), A. Bakar (Cliff Richard of Johor), Maisya and Maisarah.
A total of 15 songs will be sung in concert and tickets are priced at RM53, RM103, RM123, RM163, RM203, RM253, RM303 and RM453.
