There IS a new threat VIP kidnap and bank robbery

KUALA LUMPUR: Police will continue to monitor the plan IS militants to kidnap honor (VIP) for a ransom, in addition to rob a bank to raise funds to finance their activities.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Tajuddin Md Isa said the group is also targeting foreign nationals as well as a focal point for strategic government buildings such as government offices, including in Putrajaya.

"Research shows that the struggle had passed the first stage of IS the level of recruiting and training new members, and is now entering the second phase (kidnapping and robbery)," he said after attending the monthly meeting of the Chief of Police KL Marching Square police headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, in here, today.

He said the entire police force as head of the department, the district police chief, police chief of the police station and asked each member are always vigilant to this threat.

On April 26, police arrested 12 men on suspicion of conspiracy local residents launched attacks on strategic targets and government stakeholders in the Klang Valley. Police also found bomb-making materials and firearms.

Tajuddin said police tightened security in areas that could potentially be militant targets IS.

"In addition, the police are also working with the department and other law enforcement agencies to combat it.

"This is because the monitoring by the government show some Malaysians interested to Syria and Iraq for propaganda IS affected by the war in Syria is the last day of the war," he said.

Tajuddin advise all levels of society including citizens police to pay attention to the activities performed by their loved ones in order to avoid IS influenced by ideology.
