JASIN: All drone or unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) have received approval from the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) before he was flown, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.

He said the agreement was important to ensure the use of drone or UAV in the country under control and does not affect the flying aircraft in the airspace of the country, particularly in the area of ​​the airport.

In this regard, he said the DCA will make a comprehensive study on the matter and implement the enforcement of registration for the use of drone or UAV as soon as possible.

"At this time a series of briefings and dialogue underway at the state level before we issue any new safety rules," he told reporters here on Sunday.

Earlier, he attended the opening ceremony of the International Air Carnival 2015, rates improved Malacca Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron and accompanied Aerodrome 184 private aircraft in Sungai Batu here.

Liow said the private aircraft owners and enthusiasts are reminded to remain alert and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations set by the DCA to ensure the safety of air space.

"This effort is expected to attract more commercial aircraft to land there because I understand five more airlines interested in flying at the airport," he said.

Meanwhile, Liow said the airport LTAM is important for the tourism industry and the economy of Malacca and is expected to reduce traffic congestion faced KLIA and Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang.
