EPF list SB2 to the Members Investment Scheme

KUALA LUMPUR - The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has listed Amanah Saham Bumiputera 2 (SB2) to list the fund Members Investment Scheme (SPA).

"With the listing of SB2, there are nine funds offered under the SPA EPF managed Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd," EPF said in a statement today.

The scheme allows members to transfer part of their savings in Account 1 to invest in unit trust funds approved through the Institutional Fund Management (IPD), offering them the option to increase retirement savings.

Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Investment), Mohamad Nasir Ab Latif said that under the scheme, members can move no more than 20 percent on a quarterly basis, the total savings from Account 1, which exceed the base.

Members will be notified of the effective date of the listing of the SPA SB2 to the EPF.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak during the Eleventh Malaysia Plan to present the said individual Bumiputera equity ownership will be enhanced through withdrawals from EPF Account 1 for the purchase of units SB2.
