Really? Instant noodles can be taken as a healthy food

SHAH ALAM - A noodles can be used as a healthy, balanced diet.

President of the Nutrition Society of Malaysia, Dr. Tee E Siong said, users only need to enter only a little seasoning and add other accompanying material.

"In fact, instant noodles can be eaten without seasoning.

"You can also use your own flavoring substances. Enter only chicken or beef, add vegetables to promote more balanced dish you soon," he told the Herald Online.

He added that instant noodles are not as different as other local food such as noodles and kuey teow.

Instant noodles made from grains and grain, making it one dish rich in carbohydrates.

"We need carbohydrates to provide the energy that we need every day. Dietary Guidelines for Malaysians urged people to take part of the daily diet of grain.

"Instant noodles can be part of our diet. It is one dish that is rich in carbohydrates," he said.

Dr Tee in the meantime also denied allegations of use of wax in the process of making instant noodles.

According to him, the manufacturing process and production of instant noodles produced by standard operating procedures (SOP) established.

"The allegations contained in the wax content of instant noodles is not true. In the process (the process of making instant noodle), noodle dough to be cut according to the size of the set, then it will go through the process of steam and cooked using cooking oil.

"... This process will ensure that the noodles do not stick to each other. There is no need to add or incorporate materials such as wax to avoid noodles sticking to each other," he explained.
