RIYADH: suicide bombers militant Islamic Countries (IS) has attacked a Shiite mosque in Saudi Arabia during Friday prayers at the expense of 21 people and injured 81 others.
The Interior Ministry said a suicide bomber had detonated the bomb at a mosque in the city of Qatif populated Shiite majority.
"A suicide bomber detonated a bomb is said to have been part of his clothes during Friday prayers held at mosques Ali Ibn Abi Taleb in Qatif," the ministry spokesman said in a statement.
The Ministry of Health has confirmed that there are 21 people died, 81 were injured, including 12 in critical condition.

A statement posted online claiming 'army of Caliph' is the party that performs the attack with the bomber, named as Abu Amer al-Najdi.
United States and United Nations Security Council (UN) condemned the bombing, but White House spokesman Josh Earnest said too early to confirm the incident is related to the IS.
Shiite Iran urges those responsible are caught and punished, while its ally Hezbollah accused the authorities of Saudi Arabia fully responsible for the incident.

A resident said Naseem Assada explosion occurred when the followers of Shia were celebrating the birth anniversary of Imam Hussein, who is a figure respected by the Shi'a.
"We do not want things to happen in Syria or Iraq repeatedly. This is our beloved country, "he said referring to the instability in the two countries.
Mufti of Saudi Arabia also condemned the attack and stressed that it is still a crime who want to divide the Arab nation and sparked riots.
