The government should consider creating a list of pedophile offenders

Anifah said the perpetrators should be made public so that parents and communities have small children feel more secure.

KUALA LUMPUR: The government should consider establishing a list of pedophile offenders as a precautionary measure decisive in containing the crime, said Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman.

He said the perpetrators should be made public so that parents and communities have small children feel more secure.

"I refer to the report on the case of Nur Fitri Azmeer Nordin, Malaysian students have convicted pedophile material in the United Kingdom and was sentenced to five years," he said in a statement here Thursday.

He said the government would not allow it because it is the act of crime against children.

He said the government was very serious cases involving Nur Fitri Azmeer.

"Malaysians including students, are required to comply with the laws in the countries where they reside.

"I also want to emphasize that Malaysian students have a responsibility to focus on education and protect the good name and image of the country," said Foreign Affairs.

He asked the public not to cause confusion between advisory services and preserve human rights and the right to be saved after committing the crime is considered serious and inhumane, especially those involving children.
