KUALA LUMPUR: Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad expressed his dissatisfaction with recent developments involving the University of Witwatersrand.
Through its latest entry in the blog chedet.cc, Dr Mahathir expressed his grief when the contributions are used for the recovery of TH 1MDB debt through the purchase of land measuring one and a half acre property 1MDB at RM188.5 million.
"The money that is saved since the establishment of security has been increased up to thousands of millions of dollars. This money could be invested in order to gain security will help management and subsidies to pilgrims.
"The money is from contributor TH and TH is entrusted to manage it well, in a way that permitted by Islam. This money does not belong to security, "he said.
Mahathir also compare the prices of land of 70 acres Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) purchased 1MDB at RM194.1 million, while TH buy just one and a half acres at a price of RM188.5 million.
"Fortunately 1MDB great. Actually this land, originally indigenous to hold the trade center. But 1MDB been set aside for this project. Is this the way of security using public money entrusted to him? "Asked Dr Mahathir.

He added that the contributors hope that the money saved by TH can be managed for their benefit, but the problem is the money is used also to save 1MDB who lose billions.

Meanwhile, Dr Mahathir also touched on the establishment of the Advisory Board Chairman of Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Tunku Abdul Aziz Tunku Ibrahim about the investigation into the businessman Jho Low and stepchildren Prime Minister, Riza Aziz.
"In fact the report was made by another party (the Jho Low and Riza) but no inquiry made by anyone. On the contrary the reporting dimufliskan and his house was searched.
"If Tunku Aziz was so concerned about corruption, investigate and report such cases. Prove that I also lost the government money.
"If you can not live alone," he said.
