CBNY distributable income per unit 6.60

CAPITAL Nasional Berhad (PNB), announced income distribution CBNY (ASD) of 6.60 sen per unit for the financial year ended June 30, 2015 through its subsidiary Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB).

PNB chairman, Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid said the income distribution will involve an allocation of RM336.53 million compared to RM313.66 million paid last year.
"The number is increasing by seven percent and the payment is expected to benefit 318.221 unitholders who had subscribed to 11.05 billion units of ASD.

Thus, the ASD will continue to implement appropriate strategies to make investment more closely to the objectives of the fund is to meet the economic conditions expected to remain challenging, "he said at a press conference ASD income distribution announcement in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

According to Ahmad, until June 23, 2015, ASD has a gross income of RM446.77 million contributed by the profit from the sale of shares in companies of RM246.65 million or 55.2 per cent.

"Dividend income from investments in companies contributed RM128.38 million or 28.7 per cent of total gross income is followed by RM71.74 million or 16.1 per cent of income earned through investments in short term instruments and other income.

"The level of income distribution is the same as the 2014 ASD are reasonable when compared to other investment instruments that are suitable for comparison, having regard to the economy and the current market," he said.

"In order for the unitholders of a trust unit's growth returns, income distribution will be reinvested automatically in the form of units," he said.

At the same event, President and Group Chief Executive of PNB, Tan Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman announced investments SB2 through EPF Account 1 effective July 1, 2015 subject to the terms and conditions prescribed for EPF Members Investment Scheme (EPF SPA).

"In accordance with the terms and conditions of the SPA EPF members to invest the savings of not more than 20 percent every three months, from basic savings account number exceeds 1 by age," he said.

According to him, production is subject to a cumulative maximum investment limit of 200,000 units ASB 2.
