Jalaluddin: The suspect arrested at around 10:50 last night after the team from the police raided a Ranau Sabah and homestay in Swap.

Kota Kinabalu: Police apprehend 'Mat Malaya', the man who was wanted for shooting and wounding a suspected an assistant mechanic in a repair workshop air conditioning, in May this year.

Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jalaluddin Abdul Rahman said Mat Malaya, 44, who is wanted by the authorities for almost a month ago, was arrested at around 10:50 last night after a team of police raided a Ranau Sabah and homestay in Swap.

In the raid, police also arrested a 24-year-old local woman and seized two mobile phones, said in a statement today.

On 6 May, the suspects were located in Shah Alam, Selangor, disappeared after the shooting foot 36-year old mechanic's assistant in a vehicle air conditioner repair workshop in Jalan Tuaran.

In the incident, the suspect allegedly fired three shots and one on the right foot and penetrate the victim.
