Nine more bodies were found on Mount Kinabalu

SHAH ALAM - [UPDATED] Nine more bodies were found on Mount Kinabalu at midday today, made the entire 11 killed by the earthquake that occurred in Sabah, yesterday.

Yesterday, the two bodies have been successfully brought down from Mount Kinabalu and one of them is named Rubbi Sapinggi mountain pilot, 30, while the other is foreign women.

Meanwhile, according to Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Move, eight individuals have yet to be traced.

He said the identity of the bodies found today, have not been identified.

"The forensic police (the police) had already arrived here to identify those concerned, and a further statement will be issued by the police later.

"This statement will be issued when all the tasks involved in identifying them has been solved,", "he was quoted as saying by Bernama.

He was speaking at a press conference at the operations center, which opened in the park, entrance to the mountain here.

He said the SAR team members are working very hard to trace their missing.

The earthquake occurred at 7:15 am at the Ranau district also cause aftershocks in locations such as Kota Kinabalu, Tambunan, Outback, Tuaran and Kota Belud.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian Meteorological Department said the tremor felt weak in Ranau at 11:13 pm and 11:32 pm yesterday.

The tremors of magnitude, respectively 4.3 and 2.8 on the Richter scale.
