SERI MANJUNG - Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi tonight confirmed that Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has not been involved in a plot to topple the government.
According to Ahmad Zahid, the disclosure was made because he understood the situation being experienced by the Umno deputy president who was dropped from the Cabinet.
"I've also been falling, so I understand the situation the fall. We will not be much people are falling.
Do not blame him (Muhyiddin) because there are others who aspire to topple the government, '' he said when opening the conference Lumut division tonight.
He said the individual states machinations to topple the government but not to drop Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
"Allegedly, this conspiracy to topple the prime minister. We think PM is an institution that must be respected.
"When I expose this may be why people have to be afraid," he said.
Ahmad Zahid Hamidi yesterday when opening the delegates meeting of the Shah revealed that the movement to overthrow the government by the opposition and even orchestrated BN leaders including Umno.
He said the plan was carried out in a way to get a sworn statement of opposition MPs, as well as try to attract support their BN MPs to topple the current government through the 'back door'.
Ahmad Zahid, who is also home minister, said he got the information from a very reliable source.
