KUALA LUMPUR: The Kuala Lumpur High Court today ordered the Government of Malaysia and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to pay RM600,000 in damages to the family of Teoh Beng Hock.

Gobind, who took over the case from his late father, Karpal Singh, said he would not accept any payment from the family and this is also the request of his father.

Teoh was found dead on July 16, 2009 on the fifth floor of Plaza Masalam, after being called to the MACC office to record the evidence of the alleged misuse of public funds to the employer.
