Nicol David continues to enrich the world number one for 106 months
Datuk Nicol David still retains its position as world number one for 106 consecutive months.
KUALA LUMPUR: National squash queen Datuk Nicol David still retains its position as world number one for 106 consecutive months, although so far only won one title this year.
Penang-born 31-year-old, who won the Open championship Cleveland Classic in the United States in February, collecting 3,590 points to strengthen its position as a major world player, according to the latest world rankings issued by the Women's International Squash Players Association (Wispa) today.
Nicol sworn enemies of Raneem El Welily of Egypt also strengthen its position as world number two after accumulating 2,998 points, while the two England's Alison Waters and Laura Massaro, each remained in the third and fourth ranking after collecting 1,540 and 1,424 points.
Malaysia's number two player, Low Wee Wern in the meantime, moved up one rung to seventh position with 1,066 points, although still looking for his first title this season.
