Justin Bieber settles with photographer over 'assault'

Bieber has had numerous run-ins with the law in recent years, including in his native Canada, where he has been accused of assault.

MIAMI: Justin Bieber has resolved a lawsuit with a photographer who said he was assaulted by a bodyguard of the pop star, an attorney for the Canadian heartthrob said Friday.

Bieber's attorney Jeremiah Reynolds refused to give details, saying only: "The case has settled."

Photographer Jeffrey Binion filed a lawsuit against Bieber in 2013, accusing the 21-year-old of ordering the bodyguard to assault the paparazzo as he tried to take shots of the singer in Miami Beach.

The photographer alleged that the bodyguard threatened him with a pistol and removed his camera memory card.
