KJ asked Chong Wei month break



The success of national badminton champion Datuk Lee Chong Wei won two Super Series championship - the China Open and Hong Kong Open - prove the ability of senior players can not be doubted.

Youth and Sports Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin believes the former world number one, it does not face the problem of being in the top four world ranking ahead of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil next year, to get votes more comfortable at the Games.

Chong Wei position in the world ranking jumped three spots to sixth after winning the China Open on Nov 15.

At the same time, Khairy Chong Wei maintain the physical condition of his health, especially because the 33-year-old needs to take a long time to recover when injured.

"Now is the management of BAM (Badminton Association of Malaysia) and NSI (National Sports Institute) will focus on maintaining his physical condition ahead of next year's Olympics.

"Chong Wei is no choice, he had to play in as many tournaments to raise its position in the world ranking.

"Now everything is finished, Chong Wei can relax for a month and I asked him to rest," he said.
