SHAH ALAM - PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar may be detained under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma) and Section 124 of the Penal Code was made following a meeting between him and Princess Sultan of Sulu, Jacel Kiram on 9 November.

Chief of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar was quoted AFP said police Nurul Izzah will call next week for questioning to find out the real purpose of the controversial meeting.

"Although he has apologized, but we'll still call him for questioning about the true purpose of the meeting.

"This is a serious matter, a member of Parliament went to see an enemy country that has claimed the lives of many Malaysians," he said at a press conference in conjunction with the Program Sunathon 2015 at Masjid Bukit Aman today.

Yesterday, Nurul Izzah, who is Lembah Pantai MP expressed regret with the criticism received, following his meeting with Jacel in the Philippines, at the beginning of this month.

He was among 15 guests invited organizers of the program, namely the Council on Philippine Affairs & The Asian Institute for Democracy, the mayor's office and the Vice President of the Philippines Manila.

Khalid said again, action Izzah, who met with Jacel is very dubious action.
