The staff private clinics barbaric

LABIS - A man upset with the barbaric actions of the staff of a private clinic operated 24 hours here, when seeking treatment for her son, on Tuesday night.

According to Rahman Jamal, 31, in the incident at about 10 o'clock that night, his son, Muhammad kiedy Aierill, 9, unconscious suddenly in their house and she rushed to the clinic to get treatment early.

"When I got to the clinic, one female staff at the counter told colleagues with sarcasm that my son was about to die at once makes me surprised.

"In fact, he also did not allow me to bring the child to the emergency room treatment by reason of any other patient is receiving treatment at the time," he told The Star.



Add Rahman, according to his knowledge, there are some cases like fainting, heart attack and severe burns are emergency cases that need urgent treatment, particularly involving children right than usual pain, fever and so on.

"I'm panicking because this is the first time my son was unconscious and even more surprising when the doctor on duty told my son stood acted as if he was asleep, whereas when he is too weak and has not regained consciousness.

"After a few minutes, the doctor only gave me a letter and point to take the child to the Segamat District Hospital (HDS) is located about 24 kilometers from the clinic, and I hope my children when they were given early treatment," he said.

He added that, once out of the treatment room, the counter clerk friend apologized for his actions that are deemed inappropriate.

"But instead, his show was not guilty or apologetic reactions. As their clinicians need to be aware that patients expect and treatment services because they are not getting satisfactory treatment for free.

"I hope this does not apply to other patients," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Health and Environment Committee chairman Datuk Ayub Rahmat said that although the clinic is a private clinic, medical officers and employees must comply with ethics and regulations set by the Ministry of Health (MOH).

"I advise private clinics in the country in order to provide the best service as it is a reflection on the professional attitude and work ethic thus can maintain the image of a private clinic," he said.
