Insiders denied the allegations of former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed that the Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia has resigned.
Even he was surprised when a few media representatives were contacted to verify the statements made in respect of the former prime minister.
He said Pandikar expected to report to Parliament on Monday as usual.
Pandikar expected to be a witness to the swearing Investment constituency MP Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Ismail on Monday.
Also refuted it is Deputy Speaker Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee.
According to a report in The Star Online, said Ronald news Pandikar's resignation has been repeated since the last session of parliament ends on April 9.
Ronald said the news is just speculation simply because he had met with Pandikar just a few days ago and he did not say anything on the matter.
Ronald added during the last parliamentary session, the question of his resignation, but he appeared officially on vacation at the time and he was present at the session of Parliament thereafter.
Today, the former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad revealed that Pandikar Amin Mulia delivered jawatanya as the President of the House of Representatives.
Dr Mahathir claimed Pandikar came to see him and said they did not want to continue his work.
Dr Mahathir added duties now held by his deputy.
