Mahathir ready arguing with Najib

Tun Dr Mahathir expressed willingness at any time for a public debate with the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

BALI: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed also expressed willingness at any time for a public debate with the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on various issues including 1MDB witnessed people.

He was replying to a question from one of the participants.

Meanwhile, Tun Mahathir said the parliament can carry out a vote of no confidence to bring down the country's leader Najib should not gain the trust of the people.

However, he said, since not a majority of UMNO members he had to enlist the support of members of Barisan Nasional (BN).

According to Mahathir, he found a rather weak because UMNO members do not dare to do anything at all for fear of not keeping interest or been a candidate for election so difficult to hold a vote of no confidence.

Dr Mahathir also said that the speaker of the House of Representatives want to quit. He said the speaker had come to see him and told not want to be a speaker.

Tun Mahathir also said he was willing expelled from the party if the party leadership decided for such actions against the president.

At the same event, former prime minister also reiterated his prediction that the Barisan Nasional (BN) will lose the general election to the 14th UMNO should not drop the party president, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

He also worries that the BN was defeated in the general election to the 14th UMNO will be lost and it is very difficult to recover.

According to Tun Mahathir, UMNO's struggle to race, religion and the state can not allow support to individuals one by denying support to religion, race and nation.

"I want him tried to struggle so I couldnt believe the Prime Minister sudden drop him but I really have a lot of what he's wrong, because I felt that the time had come for him to resign as prime minister,"

He was speaking at the National Talk with Tun Dr Mahathir at Tower Regency Hotel, Ipoh on Saturday attended by more than 1,000 during the event.

State UMNO leaders who attended the Kampar Umno division head, Dato 'Mohd Radzi Manan and former senior state executive councilor Datuk Osman and veteran UMNO Hamida country.
