Why not raise the issue of her 8 years ago - Najib

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today reiterated he had nothing to do with women Mongolia, damaging as claimed by some.

Through his blog, he answered questions raised by certain parties, particularly former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad on Altantuya.

He said, if the veteran leaders continue to play on this issue, he worried they will automatically be raised again.

"Like a lot of influential people. When this issue broke out, I believe they are still not able to verify the authenticity of the allegations.

"If they believe this is true, why did they not raise it when the issue broke out eight years ago?" he asked.

He also questioned whether the parties raised the issue of the disputed decision of the judicial system in their own place.

He said the murder of Mongolian woman was tried in court, with a clear decision and the sentence imposed.

"Despite a very long trial, sufficient time has been given to the appellant's case being heard and judged.

"I swear I curse, I have made repeated denials, a general explanation provided by the latter was, some people continue to question this issue and continue to try to link me," he said.

Najib said after the court decision and a former prime minister, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi admitted no involvement, is not fair to force him to investigate the case again to find out who ordered the murder.

"I was not involved and did not know anything about it. The court has to decide who is to blame for the killings. That should be the end of the story," he said.

UMNO president stressed that people should take into account that in politics, many issues and issues played her murder is one of them.

In fact, he said, the issue gets attention when he was the deputy prime minister, sits close to the prime minister, the opposition of the ways to prevent it from advancing.

People need to take into account that in politics, many of the issues and stayed to play, and this is one of them. It gets hot when I AM waiting and the opposition need a way to prevent me from advancing.

"As the two bodyguards was working for me, and the latter was a friend and ally, they try to connect the dots for me.

"Razak has openly admitted his relationship with her but did not mean that I have any knowledge about it," he explained.

The issue of the murder once again received attention when former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has called for the re-investigation was carried out.

Dr Mahathir argument when former members of the Special Action Unit (UTK) Corporal Sirul Azhar Umar, who is now in Australia, claimed that he was just following orders to commit the murder.

Dr Mahathir said, it would be unfair to impose the death penalty on a person who committed the crime because of the direction and the parties are still free to give directions.
